Pine Mountain Settlement SchoolPine Mountain Settlement School is located in the mountains of Appalachia in Southeastern Kentucky. It was an early source of education for the mountain youth of the area, offering a hands-on approach to education that continues to be a model for today's schools.
The school's programs have evolved to meet the changing needs of the community and region. Today's programs include environmental education and basic educational support for students in local schools. |
Habitat For HumanityAt Habitat for Humanity, we build. We build because we believe that everyone, everywhere, should have a healthy, affordable place to call home. More than building homes, we build communities, we build hope and we build the opportunity for families to help themselves.

Ashley Lauren FoundationUnlike national organizations that fund research, we are an independent, New Jersey based non-profit organization, working hands on with each family. The Ashley Lauren Foundation depends on the support of the community-at-large in order to provide immediate relief for the daily burdens thrust upon those who are battling pediatric cancer.
The goal of The Ashley Lauren Foundation is to ease the journey when pediatric cancer is diagnosed by providing direct financial, material and emotional assistance, along with our many programs developed to bring smiles to the children. |

Suicide AwarenessThe Sisters of Alpha Sigma Tau at Monmouth University have adopted Suicide Awareness as our own local service project, because it is something that hits close to home for us. Throughout the years we have had sisters who have battled depression, and have even lost that battle. We raise awareness because we never want anyone to feel the loss that we felt for our sister. We raise money every year for countless foundations that support the research and prevention of suicide.
